Burger
ingredients:
- 1 or 2 cloves garlic, peeled
- 1/2 small red onion, roughly chopped
- 1/2 red bell pepper, roughly chopped
- 1 cup cooked chickpeas
- 2 tbsp ground flax seed
- 1 tbsp tamari
- 2 tbsp cold water
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp sweet paprika
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
preparation steps:
1. add all above ingredients to a food processor fitted with a steel blade and pulse until blended, but mixture still has some texture
2. form into patties (add a little more water if the patties are not holding together well)and place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet
3. bake in preheated 400*f oven until burgers are nicely browned - flip once(bake for about 12 to 15 minutes each side)
4. serve with your favorite burger fixings - my favorites are fresh crisp romaine lettuce leaves, onion slices, tomato slices, dill pickle slices, plant-based mayo, yellow mustard and ketchup...you do you!
